Registering a Domain Name

How is a .nz Domain Name Registered?
.nz domain names can not be registered through NZRS. To register and use a domain name you must use the services of an authorised domain name registrar. The registrar you choose will determine the cost for registering a domain name. A name can be registered for between 1 month and 120 months (10 years). The registrar will ask you to provide contact and technical information to have on record.
